THE MUSHROOM PROJECT: During a summer, I got a job teaching pottery and I taught myself how to use the wheel. Being the fun guy that I am, I decided that there should be more mushrooms around the world, so I went on a mission making tons of ceramic mushrooms and placing them all over the world...
-
These are two mushrooms that I started out making. The first I wanted to make like the supermario "1-UP" mushroom...glazing is an art in and of itself!
-
Nanjing, China - Had a mushroom that fit perfectly as a horn.
-
Nanjing, China - in 新借口(xinjiekou), one of the busiest places in the city.
-
Seattle, WA - This mushroom was placed at the bus stop near a friend's house.
-
Another view of the shroom.
-
Seattle, WA, campus of U of Wash. in a courtyard where plays are performed.
-
The following day, my friend was going to take a picture and a child ran up to it and kicked the piece and it shattered everywhere! Awesome.
-
Frankfurt, Germany. A man asked me what I was doing. I said "Champignon". He seemed satisfied.
-
Frankfurt, Germany - a local park. There were tons of rabbits everywhere.
-
